As a civil engineering academic by background I have expertise in the area of ground engineering, specifically the impact of extreme wetting and drying cycles on fundamental soil behaviour and founded structures. I have developed university level built environment course material integrating themes of sustainability, including climate change adaptation and mitigation. I have gained experience in exploring and promoting adaptation across various sectors; facilitating collaboration, developing sector specific publications, implementing communications strategies, undertaking stakeholder engagement, and policy development. In my current role in RICS I lead on various policy and public affairs activities across land, property and construction.
